Due to various factors we will be making some changes to routes, prices and timetables for the 2026/27 academic year.
The number of students varies, road layouts change, fuel prices have rocketed in recent months and there are some proposed changes to the School’s timetable all of which have an effect that means we are reviewing the services.
We are working to finalize the routes as soon as possible and should have an update for you in a couple of weeks.
What we know for definite so far is that three of the current stops will no longer be served. These are due to access issues caused by Telford’s increasing housing density. These are the stops on the current Route 2 at Checkley Lane, Gatcombe Way and Hereford Drive. Nearest stops would be at the Co-op, St. Georges and the two new bus stops on Castle Farm Way respectively.
School Safety Features
Seat Belts – fitted to every passenger seat on every one of our vehicles and are certified as being properly fitted to industry standards.
Speed Limiters – all coaches have set to a maximum of 100kph (approx. 63mph)
Insurance – all vehicles are covered by our fully comprehensive and public liability insurance policy.
Maintenance – all coaches are maintained in line with current legislation. They are tested by the vehicle inspectorate once yearly, they are also checked over mechanically every 5 weeks in house by our own IRTEC certified technicians. In addition the driver assigned to a vehicle each day are required to carry out a list of daily checks and sign that the vehicle is roadworthy before movement.
Modern Coaches – low average vehicle age.
Training – all coach drivers are trained to a minimum of DVLA category D standard. We also provide in-house training at our training facility on manual handling, drivers hours compliance, first aid, customer service, disability awareness and defensive driving.
Drivers – our drivers have many years of experience in dealing with child passengers, all our drivers have up-to-date Enhanced DBS checks.
CCTV – most of our school fleet are fitted with multi-camera CCTV systems and hard disk recorders to encourage good behaviour and improve passenger safety.
Risk Assessments – we are happy to prepare bespoke risk assessments for you party or let you have one of our pre-prepared ones.
